Tricia Kragt
Director of Nursing Laboratories and SimulationÂ鶹ÊÓƵ’s simulation lab is a fully equipped practice environment that realistically simulates a clinic or hospital setting. As director of the simulation and lab, Tricia Kragt brings clinical, educational and technical expertise to the development, implementation and evaluation of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s human patient simulation initiative and works with faculty and students to ensure the integration of high-quality simulation learning activities into the curriculum. She oversees the preparation, maintenance, inventory and operation of all simulation equipment/supplies and collaborates with faculty to design, plan, implement and schedule simulation activities.
Tricia has directed the nursing lab since 2013. Since 2020 she also has been among the teachers of the Basic and Advanced Skills Lab course.
She has been licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Michigan since 2007 and completed her clinical simulation certification in 2021. She served as an R.N. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids from 2007-2017 and as a rehabilitation case manager in Grand Rapids from 2010-2013.

Outside the College
Tricia loves to spend time with her family, including her husband and their three children. They are involved in many sports and activities that keep everyone on their toes with schedules and games. She also runs daily and participates in a few local races a year, loves to travel as time allows, and is just getting into pickleball!
